Donna Mae Montgomery always knew she was talented. She wrote her first poem at age eight and has studied and created art ever since. She’s experimented with photography, ceramics, sculpture and painting. But her best-known work has been in collage; some of the pieces she developed as a member of the Xerox-Mail and Rubber Stamp Artist movements of the 1970s are now in New York’s Whitney Museum. Despite this rich background, it was only recently that Donna Mae found a way of using her talents to become an entrepreneur. An idea for a small business was born several years ago during a visit to a museum book store where she noticed a pin made of shrink-it plastic.
