If we could, at this time, shrink the Earth’s population to a village of 100 people, it would look something like this:
There would be 57 Asians, 21 Europeans, 14 North and South Americans, and 8 Africans. Seventy people would be non-white; 30 white. Seventy would be non-Christian; 30 Christian. Fifty percent of the entire world’s population would be in the hands of six people. All six would be citizens of the United States. Seventy of the hundred would be unable to read. Fifty would suffer from malnutrition. Sixty would live in substandard housing. And only one would have a college education.So, where do we go from here?
