Hello, my story is quite unique I have been told. I have always had the
entreprenerial drive. I always wanted to have my own business. Two years
ago, not quite, I started an internet portal site for Canada. We market
small communities on the internet, connecting them all together, but
keeping the advertising local and right where they need it. But taking advantage of the huge growth in the internet. Most small ma & pa shops were afraid of this technology. So we educated them. I started my business without a dime of my own money.
I was employed full time working shift work with 3 children. Armed with color copies of flyers I had made on the printer, I started talking to small businesses in my community. They wanted on the internet. So I would sell a web page to a business, then I would pay a designer to put one up. That is how I started, I did this for a year, all the while working full time shift work and having my three children. I worked graveyard shift, so I would come home and sleep for a couple of hours, get up and make calls make my appointments see my clients, then I would get supper etc. Well, my little portal site has grown to 50 communities in a 1 1/2 years. I have gotten the attention of a lot of people’s interest.
Thanks
