Some of the proposals that the Socialist Workers Front (FST), brought before the legislative committee that prepared the new Organic Labor Law (LOT).
The leader of the FST, Orlando Pérez, pointed out that social workers ask the National Assembly to ensure the return of retroactive benefits, because now the employer has the opportunity to liquidate a worker each year, causing the devaluation savings. The union leader said that in a system of retroactive benefits accrue and the idea is to stop being a passive job to become an asset to launch the productive apparatus of the state.
He added: “We propose that the money accumulated social benefits of consolidated, with Mopvi, a housing project for workers seeking greater social security for all Venezuelan families.
In other words, said the worker’s accumulated savings to be used for the national government to build housing for that contribution, but the employee has the opportunity to apply for one of these homes.
Similarly, the FST asked to review the chapter on job security and hiring a given time, considering that this type of outsourcing agreement paves the rejected and does not ensure social security of workers and their families.
The leader argued: “These contracts, in sectors such as construction, which guarantees a person working for a specified time, should have a clause in which the right to health and safety are protected by the employer, forcing them to take responsibility such duties until the person gets another job. ”
Concerning this last clause, noted that the same concerns as social security benefits, unemployment insurance and even forced hospitalization, surgery and maternity
